I really love the taste of banana cake when paired with jaggery and wheat. Cake turns out to be dense and soft at the same time. It just melts in your mouth like a velvet.
These are the simple steps you need to follow to make the yummy choco banana cake.
Add the wet Ingredients to the bowl
Take a large bowl to mix all the wet ingredients – Banana, Eggs , Vanilla Essence and Coconut oil
Now peel the skin off all the bananas . Add it to the large bowl. Use a fork to mash the banana to a coarse paste
Break two eggs into the large bowl of mashed bananas and beat them together. Blend the eggs well into the mashed bananas
Add 1 teaspoon full of Vanilla Essence and 4 tablespoon of Coconut oil to the mixture of banana and eggs. Make sure all these wet ingredients are mixed well
Add dry ingredients to the bowl and mix well
You should now add all the dry ingredients – 1/2 teaspoon of salt , 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and blend them well
2 teaspoons of Baking Powder and 1 teaspoon of baking soda to be added and mixed well with the wet ingredients
You should mix 1/2 cup jaggery powder , 4 tbsp cocoa powder and 1 cup of wheat flour. Now whisk well so that all the ingredients are mixed well and make sure no lumps are formed.
How to bake the Chocolate Banana Cake recipe in Pressure Cooker
It is possible to bake the cake with pressure cooker when you don’t have a convection oven or microwave oven. I find it easy to bake the cake in the pressure cooker much easier by following these simple steps
Grease the tin, add the cake batter to the tin and cook
Grease the cake tin with little butter on the sides and the bottom. Add the cake batter to the tin. Gently tap the tin to make the cake mix even. This will also avoid the formation of air bubbles.
Pour 2 inches of water to the pressure cooker. Place a stainless steel stand at the bottom of the cooker. Now place the cake tin.

Grease the microwave cake tin with little butter on the sides and the bottom. Add the cake batter to the tin and gently tap the tin to make the cake mix even
Set the timer to five minutes
Set the timer for five minutes in the microwave to cook the cake. The cake will puff up in the microwave just as it would in the oven
When the cake is cooked, remove the cake tin and let it cool to the room temperature
